Moscow: Medvedev signs law restricting promotion of abortions

The introduced amendments will establish additional restrictions on advertising medical services of artificial termination of pregnancy, the presidential press service reported.

The State Duma adopted the law was on December 11 while the Council of Federation approved it on December 16.

It includes ban on advertising abortions in printed, audio and video production, in TV and radio programs for underage, in cinema and video services, in all kinds of public transport and objects of transport infrastructure, and within hundred-meter distance from childcare, educational, sanative and resort organizations, sport gyms and in some other cases.
